Follow-up question: Will an implant alone give a minimal effect and remove excess skin under chin?

Without having the benefit of your pictures or details such as your age, weight and height, it's very difficult to give you an accurate assesment of what is indicated. Suffice it to say that a chin implant alone will not be enough to address your concerns regarding excess neck skin. However, when you state that "I feel like my chin just melts right into my neck and want a more define feature" it seems to me that you will need a chin implant plus some other procedure such as a neck lift.I frequently perform chin implants either alone or in combination with other procedures such as rhinoplasty, face/neck lifts and liposuction of the neck. Excess skin and chin cannot be addressed through a small half-inch incision underneath the neck to gain access with a chin implant. When excess skin is present in the neck after liposuction a neck lift or face neck lift is usually required. This will also address the jowls, tightening the neck muscles, and neck skin.
