Flat Chested After Breast Reduction - Boxy Shaped and Small

I had a BR 9days ago. From what I've read, most patients complain that their breasts still seem large. But my issue is the opposite; I feel flat-chested! I was a 42F/DDD and was supposed to go to a "full C". My insurance company required 802grams be removed from each breast in order for the procedure to be covered. Things are still swollen and tight but I am FAR from filling the C Cup bras I've looked at in the stores. I'm 5'8 240lbs. I look ridiculous. Is this normal? Am I jumping the gun?

Too flat after breast reduction?

I think what you are experiencing is pretty common. When you have that many letters after your bra size number, and reduction will result in a change in your body image. Like with any surgery, it will take some time to adjust and you may even experience some regret. We see this with most surgeries. I can assure you that your surgery will be life changing for you. Have patience it may take a couple of months to get to your result.

Breast Size after Breast Reduction Surgery

Thank you for your question. I would ask that you allow your body to heal prior to deciding if the new breast size is too small for you. It does take time for your body to heal and for you to get used to the "new you". Be patient. Keep the lines of communication open with your surgeon. Best wishes.

Flat-chested after breast reduction

I think that you may be jumping the gun as you put it being that you are only 9 days post-surgery.  Give it some time to heal.

Nine days is too early to judge breast reduction results.

AT 9 days, you are jumping the gun. I would give it at least 9 months prior to assesing your final result.
