Fix Hypopigmentation from Benzoyl Peroxide?

Hi! I have asian skin and used benzoyl peroxide 5% for 4 days and suffered redness and drying. In a course of 4 days the skin patch turned brown and fell off. It seems as if the skin under is whiter. Is this permanent? Can I use any treatments to even out the skin tone? Or am I going to look like this forever? Thank you beforehand!
