How Will the Filler Sused in a Non-surgical Nose Job Look As You Get Older and Everyone's Nose Seems to Look Bigger?

Thinking about getting a non-surgical nose-job. I have a short, wide nose with an underprojected bridge. Similar to an Asian nose, thinking about using filler to build up my bridge. Profile is not bad, it's the front view I don't like. It occurred to me, I wonder what happens as you get older if I opted to use a permanent filler for example, with the aging nose. Everybody's nose seems to get or at least appears to get bigger as you age, so I'm wondering how a non-surgical nose-job will age?

Non Surgical Nose

Generally a permanent filler is not used for the non-surgical nose job. There are longer lasting fillers that can be used for the nose, but it is not permanent. As you age, the skin on your nose changes but the underlying anatomy (bone, cartilage) does not. As the skin sags and droops, your nose will appear to look larger. The non surgical nose job will need to be redone as the fillers used are temporary.

How long do non-surgical nose jobs last?

Non surgical nose jobs use long lasting but not permanent fillers to make small corrections in the nose. I favor Restylane or Perlane since they are so safe. The correction generally lasts about a year and can be repeated indefinitely. Hope this helps.

My advice: Try temporary filler to augment selected nasal features (e.g. deeply applied Radiesse) first to be sure you are pleased with the outcome. The data I have seen shows that Aquamid, a permanent filler, does NOT migrate over time when used in small quantities for facial applications. This can undoubtedly vary depending on the... more
