I'm a 29 year old male, in the last 7 months I've managed to quit benzodiazepine prescribed by my doctor for 10 years. Since the. I've started to develop bags and sagging muscles under my eye. It's been hard enough facing one battle, I look run down and tired and my face a thinned considerably. I also have the worst allergies I've had in my life, with constant facial pressure. I'm considering my options and would appreciate any opinions. Topicals, face exercises, injections, grafting.
Answer: Tear Trough Hi @Daniel64792. Thank you for sharing your photos. You would be a great candidate for tear trough fillers. Restylane and Belotero work great. I recommend seeking treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!

Answer: Yes - with the right type of filter. First of all, congratulations on quitting benzodiazepine, as that’s what you wanted to do. Secondly, eye bags form as a result of decreased facial volume, so yes, literally “filling up” specific areas of your face with fillers can be an effective solution to your undereye bags. I recommend opting for Radiesse fillers since they reduce the sagginess under your eyes without producing a Tyndall effect. My other recommendation is, if you are on any medications, definitely disclose it to the dermatologist you’d be going to for fillers. If you decide to get back on benzo at any point, it shouldn’t be an issue, as there are no contradictions to fillers while on antidepressants. Other drugs may, however, be an issue, so it’s an important piece of information to share with the specialist. You can learn more about fillers as a solution to dark circles here.

Answer: Eye treatments Yes, filler can be used to treat your undereye area. I would start with support in your cheeks and then add filler conservatively to your under eyes. Another great option is PRP and/or PRF to induce collagen production. My plan of treatment would be filler in your cheeks and PRP under eyes, then have you come in for filler under your eyes IF NEEDED after 3 treatments of PRP.
