Can I trust a plastic surgeon practicing in the US that is not American Board Certified, but is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada? The explanation I received was that he is from India and went through medical school there. To be american board certified he would have had to redo all of his general surgery schooling - not plastic surgery. He is, however, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
