Implant selection

Choosing the right implant for you really depends upon the phsyical exam and your surgical goals. This is best done in person during consultation.

500 cc implant on a petite frame

Thank you for your question. While getting a 500 cc implant is possible, that doesn't mean that it is a good idea. Large implants can look good in the short term but can have consequences in the long run such as tissue thinning, implant rippling, distortion, asymmetry, and chronic pain. Think very carefully before proceeding with something that could cause you long term harm. I wish you well.

Appropriate breast implant size

I follow the "dimensional planning" approach to implant size selection, meaning that the dimensions of the implant selected need to match your chest wall dimensions. Just using your height, weight and rib circumference, I would expect that a 500cc implant would probably be too wide for your chest wall. Inappropriately large implants can increase your risk of short and long term complications. I would recommend that you obtain a consultation with an experienced,... more

Small frame, large implants

You have asked for an opinion and I will be happy to give one. I think that 500 cc will be too large, fake looking and painful, causing distortion and thinning of your breast tissue, possibly causing stretch marks, ripples, and dents or drooping in the future.

5'2" and 500cc?

I wouldn't recommend it. I guess a lot of it is personal taste. I think 500cc is going to give you an obvious "big boob" look. it looks like you have a great figure and you don't need that large of an implant to look sexy. I would recommend probably in the 300-350 range although you could go a bit bigger and look "tastefully" well endowed! The issue is that not only is it a "look" issue but a 500cc implant is likely to give you problems years from now.... more

Breast Implant Size?

Thank you for the question. It is difficult to give you precise advice without direct examination or photographs. However, the size of implant you mentioned seems a little on the large side considering your frame. In planning your breast augmentation procedure it will be very important to communicate your size goals with your surgeon. in my practice I find the use of goal pictures to be very helpful. in your case you could use your own before breast-feeding... more
