i had a CLOSED rhinoplasty yesterday. My doctor removed a hump, narrowed the bridge, and raised tip he said just by a touch. Now I fear my tip is too high. The cast and taping have not been removed from my nose but I still feel like my tip is too high. Will the tip drop as the swelling goes away? Can this be fixed?

Nasal Tip Drop after Healing
Normal post-op swelling, especially at the nasal base and upper lip, as well as the tape and dressing will give the illusion of a short nose. I always warn my patients pre-operatively that this may occur immediately after surgery.

Let me give you a "Tip": Time heals all wounds.
Rhinoplasty surgery is an elegant operation that can produce wonderful results. These results are best judged 12 months after the fact. Your nose will evolve over time.
Another "Tip" : Patience is a Virtue.

A tree does not bear fruit the instant it is planted. Give biology some time to work
Yes, in all likelihood your tip will drop with time. Try not to micromanage the appearance of your nose. It is only 24 hours old. IF you were made of clay, the result would be permanent, However, you are not.

Please at least wait till the spilnt is off
Please wait till the swelling is gone . It may take up to 3-6 months to see the final result. You need to trust your surgeon and do not question the result even before the splint is off.
