Recovery From Fat Grafting to the Face

It can take 3-6 months for all of the grafted fat to have a secure blood supply in your face after lipostructure. Until that time you may have swelling wth changes in the local circulation and overlying skin. There is no hurrying the result. Hold your judgement for now. You may be very happy with your final results.

Redness after fat grafting

Increasing redness this far out from surgery may be due to an infection so a checkup with your surgeon may be in order. Recent sun exposure may also cause this, however. The overall healing process takes several months in most cases.

Persistent redness in the face after fat grafting

Persistent redness could be infection. this redness this far out could also be normal. I would be nice to actually see what it looks like to really tell. Also did you have some sun. With the fat grafting there are going to be some areas that are going to get more sun and will be affected more by sunlight. With that and the inflammation of the fat grafting could lead to the increased vascularity. see video
