Ladies, embrace your fair skin. I think that fair skin is so beautiful. I'm one of those people that has genes in them to tan really easily. I've always been fairly tanned untill about a year ago when I became obsessed with fair skin. I wear sunscreen everyday rain or shine, winter or summer and my skin has never been paler. I also have darkish brown hair and dark dark brown eyes so you can imagine I look even lighter. I've had trouble finding a foundation and concealer that is light enough for my skin and I work in cosmetics! Lancome however, has a concealer in a tube that is light enough and also a couple foundations that aren't quite light enough but they are close enough. If you have trouble with pink or uneven skin, ask a cosmetition about biotherm and also rosiliac if you have rosacia. check out this picture of liv tyler. It inspires me to love the gorgeous fair skin that I have.

Benzoyl peroxide is usually mild enough not to cause any lasting damage.  There is a strong possibilty that you have reacted to it as it sometimes causes skin conditions such as dematitis.  This is easily reversed by using topical steroids.  The most important thing is for you to discontinue use immediately.  I think most of us look terrible under a lot of light so dont panic too much ;0)  Open pores are sadly irreversible and so the only thing that will make them appear so obvious is to have regular facials and keep your skin free of too many products as often this only highlights the problem.

Until your skin clears up the most important thing for you to do is to use as little product as possible on your face.  This means only a light emulsion to remove your make-up, possibly no moisturiser (or only a light one).  THe skin is remarkable when it comes to healing itself.  Most of the time we dont give it a chance to do that...

You cant change your skin type. You can only make the best of what you have. Any harsh chemicals and creams will only age you and believe me there is nothing worse than prematurely aging skin. I have pale skin with freckles and I have learned to deal with it, in fact, i have grown to like it. I live abroad and many of those olive skinned medittarean skinned (lucky) people have commented on how beautiful they think it is! Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder!

Fair skin is beautiful and my favorite. I found at an early age that I was most attracted to women with fair skin. Cherish your fair skin as it will keep you looking young. Stay out of the sun and love what you have. I think tans are unattractive and fair skin will turn my head every time. Don't let others make you think that darker or tanned skin is pretty, it absolutely is not.

Benzoyl peroxide works for some people but not all of us will react the same way. Over time it will thin the skin so I wouldn't use it too long. You might want to try something with salicylic acid. Over the counter strengths go as high as 2%.Prescription Trentinoin is also a great product, but your skin takes a little while to adjust to it.

I don't think using Benzoyl peroxide to bleach your freckles is the best method. You could try a cream with hydroquinone, such as Porcelana (over-the-counter) or TriLuma (prescription), however I would talk to a dermatologist before putting anything on my face that could change the pigment. To my understanding, intense pulsed light (IPL) and laser treatments are the gold standard when it comes to correcting sun damaged skin, however they have a heftier price tag. You could just use a concealer or foundation that provides heavier coverage when you want to hide your freckles.
