Will Eyelids Move Up After Lower Bleph with Incision After 12 Weeks Post Op?

I am 12 weeks post op from a lower bleph with incision. I had minimal fat removed, fat injected to the tear trough, and skin and muscle removed. Also, after retraction in the left eye a steroid was injected along the incision line. The eye lids appear to be different thickness and the thinner eyelid (left) appears to hang lower. Is there a chance that the eyelid will rise, as the skin seems loose but not pulling away from the eye? Also, how can this be improved if it does not resolve. Thanks.

You likely have already been instructed to massage the... more

The month 4 result is an excellent predictor of where you will be in 12 months.

At 4 months, you are very close to your final result.  Lingering swelling does take time to work its way out of the eyelid and might reflect the reestablishment of lymphatic channels.  However, this is when I start planning revisional eyelid surgery for patients who are dissatisfied with the results of eyelid surgery performed by other surgeons.  The probability of the issues you are describing resolving on their own with more time is low.  You had had transcutaneous... more
