I had an IPL yesterday. During the procedure my eyes hurt. I woke up this morning and the whites of my eyes are all bloody. Is this very serious? Should I go to an opthamologist?

Answer: If your eyes were protected during the procedure, you should not have eye damage from IPL.

Interesting question you pose. We hear this with IPL/BBL, and also after chemical peels and other treatments. While some treatments may give you minor scabbing and peeling, the absence of these things does not mean there was no benefit. You're more likely to get scabbing/peeling/coffeegrounds...
