Too Much Pain After Breast Implants

I just had Breast implants to correct a tubular deformity. Now I have a horrbile pain under my right breast along the rib cage. It is a sharp, searing pain whenever I move a certain way, and especially when riding in cars (going over bumps). Tylenol is not helping and it is getting worse by the day (it's been 5 days) there is no visible swelling or bruising. What could be causing this? What can I take for the pain? I need to resume work again next week and fear that 4 more days might just be worse!

See your surgeon soon

Hello, While Realself can help with some things, others are much better addressed by your surgeon. In this case you are just days from surgery. You need to be examined soon by your surgeon to make sure you are OK and go from there.

You need to be evaluated and possibly use a stronger pain medication

It is common for a patient to require narcotic pain medicine 5 days after surgery but every patient is different. You should see your plastic surgeon at this early point after surgery so that he/she can evaluate you and guide you through the recovery process. Dr Edwards

Breast

You need to discuss this with your plastic surgeon. At 5 days after surgery pain is to be expected. The surgery to correct tuberous breasts is more involved than just placing breast implants so it is expected that there would be more pain. Again, you need to return to your surgeon for examination and recommendations.
