Will Pixel or Fraxel Work for Extreme Hyperpigmentation?

I have had IPL, Photo rejuvination done to help with acne, and have had either pixel or fraxil done once, i can't remember which. Now instead of smaller brown spots my whole face is a brown spot with a few white spots. should I get more, and if so which one?
