Excision of Quite Large Area on Abdomen?

I have an area between my navel & ribs that I'd like to have excised due to old self-injury scars. Individual removal of scars would be pointless as they're dense/numerous. The area is ~2 inches vertically which is a lot for suturing? But, in a standing position I can very easily grab the skin and bring the edges together. I realize the excision would leave a scar but I don't care, I'd be rid of that piece of my body. Possible?? I'm aware of and have had some non-surgical treatments already.

Optimal scar revision

It is very difficult to answer your question without photos. However, if the entire width of your scarring is 2inches vertically then it definitely can be closed primarily. The other factor you need to consider is the length of the scar. The length of the scar is 3 times the greatest width so you would have a 6 inch surgical scar oriented transversely if I am understanding you correctly. Scar revision will help. It will convert multiple scars into well designed single scar. Of course it depends on the size of the current scars.
