Would Revision Rhinoplasty Be Easier if I Stick to the Same Surgeon?

I am thinking of having a revision rhinoplasty, and I liked the first result but wish to have some minor touch ups done. Should I stick to the same surgeon? Is it easier/better because she knows what she did the first time, or is it all the same if I just go to another plastic surgeon? What's more advisable and most likely to get the best results?

Should I have Revision Rhinoplasty with same surgeon?

I have performed Rhinoplasty and Revision Rhinoplasty for over 20 years and IMHO, it's always better to go back to the original surgeon who already knows you and the surgical area. As long as you still have faith in your original surgeon, IMO, you should have your Revision Rhinoplasty there.

Stick with same surgeon

I would suggest to stick with the same surgeon as they are familiar what was done during the 1st surgery. see video

Revision rhinoplasty-should I pick a different surgeon?

If you are happy with the result (and presumably with the surgeon) and only minor changes are requested, it makes perfect sense to go to the same surgeon since he/she knows what was done in the original surgery.

Dont make changes if happy with your surgeon..

If you had good results with your rhinoplasty, have a good working relationship with your surgeon and her staff and feel that she understands what you want and can deliver, stick with your original surgeon. If you have doubts about her, it does not hurt to consult with other revision rhinoplasty surgeons but understand the cost may be significant and there are still no assurances that you will be happy with the result. For minor changes you will most likely be happy with your original... more

Having revision rhinoplasty with the same surgeon

If you were happy with your original surgery and surgeon overall it would be best to have the refinement procedure done by your original surgeon. It is much more preferable to have someone operate on your nose who already knows exactly what was done the first time.

Revision rhinoplasty

I would recommend you see your first surgeon as it seems you had a good experience and enjoy a good relationship. Your cost will most likely be less with your original surgeon then with a new plastic surgeon. If the "touch ups" are minor your original surgeon will likely do a nice job. Good luck!
