Both Plastic Surgeons have their own practice, however they are on the same staff at hospital. I will be pursuing a medical malpractice against one of the doctors. The other doctor on the same staff said he would be an expet witness. Is there a code of silence in your contract at Hospitals? or it doesn't matter if it was off hospital grounds?

Expert Witness?

Thank you for the question. I am sorry to hear that you have to pursue a malpractice case. This is a very stressful situation for everyone involved. There is no “code of silence” in any of the hospitals I work out of. Nor am I familiar with that term generally. Our professional societies however do require expert witnesses to behave/ testify in an ethical fashion. Best wishes.
