Laser Treatment: Q&A
Ask a Question
Will ESR Laser Absorb Dermal Fillers?
I have heard various things about lasers, such as ESR and photofacial, absorbing the dermal fillers in cheeks and around mouth. Is this true that a laser can shorten the life of fillers? Thanks.

Lasers do NOT dissolve wrinkle fillers
Lasers work by targetting and imparting energy to specific targets (such as water, blood vessel lining etc). Not only are wrinkle fillers placed at significant depths in and under the skin where lasers rarely penetrate but hyaluronic acid, the filler present in restylane and Juvederm, is not a chromophore target for commonly used skin targets.
