Erbium Yag Laser for Scar Removal on Nose?

The scar is about 10mm long, and 5mm wide. I didn't get stitches, (because I never went to the hospital!) so healed while the wound was open. This has lead to a lowered scar (a level below that of the rest of my epidermis) which is also of different colour (darkened) to my regular skin. I was wondering whether the Erbium Yag Laser could be used to "remove" this scar, and so resurface the skin, or whether te erbium laser is only useful on areas which are larger affected. Thank you.
