Could an enlarged sternocleidomastoid muscle be caused from a facelift? I have a scar on the back of my neck and this is where the muscle is really large and unsightly.

If this is noted after a facelift, you may have scar tissue in the area and not enlargement of the muscle itself. If it is indeed the muscle, then botox may be useful to decrease the size. Donald R Nunn MD Plastic Surgery.
