Is It Effective to Use Topical Tretinoin Followed Immediately by an AHA Cream at Night?

I use 0.05% tretinoin at night, and have a 4% AHA cream. I prefer to use my AHA cream at night as it makes my face a little shiny. Is it effective to use the two immediately together, or does the tretinoin get inactivated by the AHA? For anti-aging. Thank you.
