How Effective is EMax Treatment for the Neck?

My dermatologist has recommended eMax treatment for my neck which is getting crepey and has horizontal lines. I'm worried because I've had an IPL on neck which left 3 hypopigmented scars. (They were from burns on bones at base of neck) Should I worry? Is the emax effective on the neck? I'm 48 with fair skin.
