Effect of Massaging on Nasal Tip After Rhinoplasty

I have been massaging the tip of my nose with quite some force since the 6th week period of the rhinoplasty date. It is now an year since the surgery date (therefore i have been massaging frequently for almost an year! ) will the amount of massaging effect the tip of my nose. I ask because it looks gradually more pinched and upturned since I started massaging. Also, will the hanging collumula be more pronounced because of the massaging? -Thank you.

At one year, additional massage will have no effect on your surgical result. If you're not satisfied with your appearance, have a consultation to evaluate the possibility of revision surgery.

Massaging nasal tip after rhinoplasty

In my opinion, massaging the tip of the nose has little if any positive effect on the tip of the nose after rhinoplasty. In some circumstances, massaging may distort the tip (such as when cartilage grafts have been placed or suturing has been performed. If the appearance or the contour of your nose is unsatisfactory to you, it is best to address your issues with your surgeon. You should see your final result 1 year after Rhinoplasty Surgery.

If you're dissatisfied with your appearance 1 year after your Rhinoplasty Surgery, you should consult a board-certified, experienced Rhinoplasty surgeon to discuss your options.  If your nose isn't too large, you might be a candidate for a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty procedure to improve your appearance. It is difficult to say what effect your massaging had on your appearance. I hope this is helpful for you.

Massaging the nose after rhinoplasty.

We say the result of rhinoplasty is set at 1 year after the surgery. From what you have said, you should see an experienced revision rhinoplasty surgeon for evaluation of what do do now to correct the nose.
