Drinking During Meals after Bariatric Surgery

We recommend not drinking during eating with any type of bariatric surgery.  Wehn you drink you help soften and push the food through the Lap-Band or gastric bypass pouch allowing you to eat more.  This will decrease the amount of weight loss.  We recommend waiting at least 30 minutes after eating to drink anything.
