Tummy Tuck=drain... Always...

Hi there- I would never consider ANY technique for tummy tuck, including this one, without placing a drain. Trying to avoid the drain will cause you problems afterwards that will leave you wishing you could put one into yourself.... With regard to liposuction machines... Do you think that If you got behind the wheel of Dario Franchitti's race care that you would be able to win the Indy 500? I don't either. Avelar Tummy Tuck and drains

To directly answer your question, I would ALWAYS place a drain anytime I incise the skin flap in an abdomen. I know the "Avelar Tummy tuck" does not require a drain, but just for safety I would. Avoid operations with trademarks or catchy names.

Hi. 1) I don't know what this type of tummy tuck is, and I am supposed to be an expert. Make sure you go to a board certified plastic surgeon. 2) Also, these liposuction methods with fancy names are marketing concepts. Stick with tumescent liposuction, which has a long track record of safety and good results.
