I was hit directly on the nose by a car door about 4 weeks ago. There was bruising and redness initially at the bridge. I iced the area but there is still a slight dorsal hump present at the bridge and it feels painful to run my finger down it. Will this bump ever go away? I'm freaking out about it ... Also, would crying make it worse? What should I do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dorsal hump or bump on nose after an injury

If the bump was not present before the injury but is present afterward it is either a collection of blood under the skin and/or a break in the bone. If you take a stick that is not dried out and bend it sufficiently it will partially crack through its diameter. When you release it you will then see spicule sticking out.
