I had eyelid revision surgery and ptosis correction two months ago in another country. The only issue is that I have some redundant skin at the end of incision line on one eye, and the other eye has what appears to be the same thing, but a small bump as well. I can't consult with doctor since he is in another country, but he asked me to massage the area, and thinks it should resolve in time. Willing to wait it out, but only concern is that it hasn't gotten better since surgery.

Answer: This excess skin may not resolve with massage after two months.
However, not every scar is going to disappear. It is not really reasonable to make you wait a full year to determine this. I think a photo would be very helpful to understand what exactly is going on. It is reasonable to have the scar assessed even at this point. There are options available...
You may notice some additional swelling, and the skin may get dry from the salty tears. This dryness will make the skin look crepey. Keep the area well lubricated. And as things improve in your life, your eyes should too.
