I prefer to do a Brazilian butt lift under general anesthesia. For me, it is all about safety. During a Brazilian butt lift, you will need to be on your chest for lipo of the back and also for subsequent fat injection. It is very important that your airway is secure during the procedure. Epidural or General for Brazilian Butt Lift?

Epidural is an option, but most patients prefer to go to sleep (General) rather than to be awake as you typically are with an epidural. Most patients also tell me that they don't want to hear the sounds of surgery and would rather just go to sleep and wake up when it's all done.
