Can Chiropractors Perform Cellulaze?

I LOVE my chiropractor and would really like it if he could purchase this machine and start using it in his clinic. Is this within his scope of practice?

When consulting with your doctor be sure to ask them if they are qualified to perform Cellulaze. This is important because you want the best care for yourself; also ask to see photos of their previous work. After consulting with them you will be able to determine if this is the right procedure for you.

Chiropractor for Cellulaze procedure

+1

Hello and thanks for the question.  The simple answer is no.  Chiropractors do not have any training or residency in invasive procedures.  The scope of their practice is with manipulations.  Would you go to your family practioner for a cardiac bypass just because he or she is nice?  Cynosure, the manufacturers of the Cellulaze laser, are very strict on who can purchase the machine.  When a machine is sold to anyone without proper training then the quality and validity of the procedure will be poor and will make the rest of us who have spent several years in proper residency and training look like charlatans.  Good luck in your endeavors.  Robert Kratschmer, MD, board certified in Plastic Surgery.

Cellulaze by a Chiropractor

To be concise: NO. Cellulaze is not only surgery but involves the use of lasers and tumescent anesthetic solution that can not and should not be used by a chiropractor.  I'm happy to hear you have found someone you can trust with certain aspects of your health and care but for something like surgery or Cellulaze you should find a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon you trust.

Good luck~

Before you go in for a consultation with a physician, make sure you do your research on cellulite laser treatments. Ask them about their certifications and qualifications to perform Cellulaze treatments and how many Cellulaze procedures they have done. Ask to see photos of other patients' results and to talk to other patients they have treated with Cellulaze. To find out if your chiropractor is certified to perform this treatment, the Cellulaze website has a physician locator.

Who Should Perform Cellulaze?

+1

The most important criteria for choosing a doctor to perform the Cellulaze procedure are board certification AND years of experience performing liposuction.  Both dermatologic and plastic surgeons may be liposuction experts.  Dermatologic surgeons who perform liposuction are trained exclusively in the TUMESCENT technique, which uses local "tumescent" anesthesia, the same type used in the Cellulaze procedure. Proper use of the Cellulaze device requires the skills used in liposuction along with additional SPECIALIZED TRAINING in the advanced Cellulaze procedure.

Can Chiropractors Perform Cellulaze?

+1

Absolutely, not, Cynosure restricts the sale of the Cellulaze laser to only Board Certified Plastic Surgeons. Although Cellulaze is a minimally invasive surgery, it is surgery, and should be performed by a trained Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.

Can Chiropractors Perform Cellulaze?

+1

Simply answer NO! It is a "real" operation that involves making small incisions with a scapel in many areas around the cellulite. Chiropractors have no surgical training what so ever, so please understand that they have their expertise in manipulation of the spine. While "medical doctors", specifically plastic surgeons train years to become adept at doing surgery. And Cellulaze has a  very high learning curve even for boarded plastic surgeons. Besides Cynosure, the parent company for CELLULAZE, would not sell the Cellulaze unit to a non M.D. Hope this clears things up.

Cellulaze is a surgical procedure

Cellulaze, although minimally invasive, is a surgical procedure.   Cynosure the manufacturer of Cellulaze maintains strict standards for training for the procedure.   Cellulaze or other laser treatments like Smart Lipo should be performed by a board certified plastic surgeon.  Hope this helps.
