I am looking for a doctor in NYC to get botox in masseter muscle. Should i go to a dermatologist? A plastic surgeon? Or an Oral surgeon? Any help suggesting someone reputable will help! Thank you

Botox for masseter muscle

Try Dr. Andrew Blitzer, an excellent specialist for Botox in the head and neck. There can be side effects so make sure yoiu discuss this thoroughly before you have the treatment. Can it weaken your normal chewing? Can it make you look asymmetric? (one side different from the other?) It will have to be redone as Botox is not permanent. This is an advantage should there be a side effect you don't like.

The bottom line is that you should go to someone who you feel comfortable with and who's prices are reasonable. If you ask a dermatologist who you should see for these types of injections, they will say a dermatologist. If you ask an oral surgeon, they will say see an oral surgeon. And yes, if you ask a plastic surgeon, guess what, they will say see a plastic surgeon. You are the only one who can make that decision!
