Discolored Lips. They Are Bluish Brown as Opposed to Pink and Was Wondering if There is Anything That Can Be Done? (photo)

I am an African American female who has experienced the discoloring of my lips since grade school, I used to frequently lick my lips due to them being chapped and they used to peel often. As an adult, the discoloration really bothers me. My lips have a bluish brown coloring opposed to pink and I am wondering if there is anything I can do to restore my lips to their natural color.
