I read that there will be permanent indentation for surgically created dimples. Is that true?

Hi, I had my dimpleplasty procedure done 3 weeks ago, however my concern is that the indentation that the surgeon said would disappear in about 3 weeks time is still there. And i also read that there will be permanent indentation for surgically created dimples. Is that true? Thank you. And when should i expect my cheek would flatten?
