Is There Any Difference Between the Nd Yag Laser and the Erbium Yag Laser?

Is the nd yag just a new improved version of the erbium yag? I am getting laser resurfacing around the eyes and have very sensitive skin and believe that both of these lasers are not too aggressive. So I'm just trying to choose which one is best. Thanks.
