Laser assisted liposuction vs. water jet liposuction

The laser delivers heat energy via a catheter to liquify the fat prior to the aspiration liposuction and the heat can cause contraction and tightening of the tissues. Water jet irrigation can break through dense tissues. If one were to do fat grafting at the time of liposuction, the the laser assisted SmartLipo wouldn't be used as that would damage the fat cells prior to the grafting but aqua jet should leave viable cells.

SmartLipo heats and melts fat with a laser probe. AquaLipo uses a water jet to loosen and wash out the fat. I use both procedures in most of my lipo cases with great results.
