Traditional Orthodontics vs Invisalign
Generally speaking the cost for Invisalign may run 1000 to 2000 more than a traditional Orthodontic case but this comparision will vary as to the complexity of the case. There are simple Invisalign cases that will cost less based on the time it takes for completion. The lab fees associated with Invisalign are more costly than the traditional type of Orthodontics, specifically the fees required to make all of the trays.

Invisalign vs Braces
The cost of orthodontics varies depending on the length and difficulty of treatment. Invisalign typically costs 1000-2000 more because of the cost in making the aligners.

Cost of Invisalign vs braces
In our office the cost of Invisalign is roughly comparable to braces for cases of comparable difficulty. The case fees depend more on the complexity of the case than on the appliance used to treat the patient. Braces can treat difficult cases that Invisalign cannot effectively treat, so a complex case treated with braces may cost more than the average Invisalign case.

Invisalign cost difference
The cost difference, if any, will depends on the orthodontist. Invisalign has a large lab fee compared to traditional braces, but the doctors time spent with the patient can be less. Also, orthodontist that see a lot of Invisalign patients are probably more efficient and pay lower lab fees, so they may charge the same as standard braces. As always, your milage can vary.

Braces vs invisalign cost

Cost will also vary depending on the complexity of the case, the time expected to take, and in some cases, doctors will offer Invisalign at a reduced cost because they are new to the technique and want to get some...
