Hi, I had revision for capsular contracture and am wondering what the kenacort (corticosteroid) injections were used for. Thanks.
Use Kenacort Injections
Thanks for the question.Kenacort contains Triamcenolone which is locally acting corticosteroid and its action is to stop formation of Colleen ( Fibrosis ) that is what the capsular contracture is and even dissolve the old fibrosis. Its widely used for Keloids and Hypertrophic scars. Its continues to work for 6 weeks and can then be repeated.
