Lower Abs Distended After Diastasis Recti and Umbilical Hernia Repair

Diastasis recti and umbilical hernia repaired 6 weeks ago. Surgeon did a vertical cut. He used 3 layers of sutures-no staples. Belly button doesn't stick out now, but lower ab area does. I now have a bump at top of incision.-I am 5' tall, 90lbs, marathon runner, no body fat- What is wrong?

I would defer to your surgeon opinion but from this one view, if you are not forcibly straining, it appears the muscle repair has failed. This may be caused when a running suture is used instead of individual tied stitches especially if you had severe vomiting, coughing or straining.
