I am in Korea and I am getting two permanent crowns done on my front 2 teeth. My Korean dentist wants to attach the crowns so that they are one unit. After doing much research, I decided that I want the teeth to have separate crowns so that it looks more natural and because it is the norm procedure in the US. The korean dentist said OK but that after some time the crowns will shift and create a gap btwn my teeth. Is this true? How much time before this happens? I have never had a gap before.

It is sometimes advantageous to splint teeth for strength but it should only be done if necessary. You can floss splinted teeth but you must use a floss threader. The temporaries look oversized, make sure you are happy with how the permanent crowns look before they are cemented.
Zirconia is strongest, but not as pretty, Empress is prettiest, but not the strongest, and Emax is in between. Two front teeth is normally best treated with Empress or a feldspathic porcelain, since the strength issues are less important on front teeth.
I would have the root tips extracted as soon as possible to help avoid future problems. Upon extraction it would be wise for you to have some bone graft material placed in preparation for a dental implant placement in the future.
