Desmoid tumors not common with tummy tucks

Dear NanaMakeover, The simple answer to your question is "no"; desmoid tumors are not that common with tummy tucks. In general, the majority of desmoid tumors are more common in women due to pregnancies and while on birth controls. Thank you for your inquiry. Dr. Sajjadian.

Looks like I have one. Going for 2nd opinion but looks like another abdominal surgery & this time my scar is going to be visible. Rats! They are not common though, only 900 or so diagnosed in the U.S. per year.
