Is Dermaroller Safe for Dark Skin Tone? (photo)

I am a 28 year old female(Asian). I had acne scars on my cheeks not like ice pricks but medium sized and prominent ones. I have gone through the laser treatment almost year ago. After 5 sessions my condition didn't improve, scars are still there. I was considering the dermaroller treatment for my skin but as my skin is sensitive and easily pigmented with small bruises to all kind of injuries etc. I was concerned about its result does dermaroller cause pigmentation. Is it safe for my skin?
