Is Dermabrasion Safe to Perform on Atrophic Scarring on the Nose?

I've heard conflicting views on the subject, so I was wondering how safe it would be to have dermabrasion and Deepfx laser resurfacing done on a nose with an atrophic scar and slight scarring around it on the top of the nose. Is there enough skin (albeit scarred skin) for both these procedures to be performed safely? And if so, is there risk of having too much of the nose shaved off by accident?
