I just received an inch laceration on my forehead that was sealed using Dermabond. What can I do during the healing process to prevent or minimize scarring?

Dermabond
Typically dermatologists will put in deep dissolving stitches and then may use dermabond or cyanoacrylate for the top stitches (but only if the skin is already sewed with the edges very close together). Do not do anything to the scar for the first 2-3 weeks. After that point, you can begin gentle massage to the area 2 times a day with a dab of Aquaphor or Vaseline. You can also try Curad scar therapy sheets (silicone sheets) at night. The final appearance of the scar will be at 1 year. ...
