Is it risky to attempt a subtle deprojection or rotation at my next surgery. when I attempt to slightly rotate my tip by deemphasizing my tip lobule with my finger instead of just pushing my collumela higher my nose looks better. How much control is there over amount of deprojection or rotation the surgeon wants to achieve in these cases? Is there room for some presicion in setting how much nasal tip projection or rotation we would like to achieve? what are some potential riks ?

Deprojection and Rotation in Revision Rhinoplasty, What are the Potential Risks?

You're talking about very subtle but substantail aesthetic changes toi the nose with a Revision Rhinoplasty. Be certain that the Rhinoplasty Surgeon, you select, unsderstands and follows the proper aesthetics of facial beauty and the nose to achieve the desired results. The main risk, IMO, is they would not and as such not be able to hit the desired aesthetic mark with these challenging tip techniques.

Deprojection and Rotation in Revision Rhinoplasty

Control and precision in tip deprojection and rotation in revision rhinoplasty is best achieved by selecting an experienced surgeon. That individual can establish reasonable expectations. Unfortunately nobody has total control over how the human body will heal. Undoubtedly, the biggest risk is not getting a perfect result.

Deprojection of the tip

Depreojection of the tip can be accomplished with rhinoplasty. This is done with too much tip rotation. Sometimes grafts can help as well.
