Mild fat atrophy along the underside jaw line from kenelog injections post face/necklift: Can fat transfer make things worse?

I have mild fat atrophy along the underside of my jaw line from kenelog injections post face/necklift. My PS wants to tranfer fat from a bump under my chin where he left too much fat on one side to the atrophy areas. The bump of fat needs to be removed. Can fat transfers make things worse, how hard is it to get an even contour along the jaw line with fat and would it be better just to remove the bump under my chin and let the atrophy fill in on its own?
