I am scheduled for a tummy tuck for Sept 1. My Dr says no alcohol 2.5 weeks prior to surgery. I rarely drink (maybe 2-3 times a year), and when I do I don't drink excessively. I have a big concert to attend with several friends, and I would love to be able to have 2-3 beers. Is it ok if I do this, even though its 11 before my surgery? I work out everyday, stay hydrated, do 90 minutes of cardio. I would like to know if its ok given my history to have a few beers??

It is good to lose weight, if it is appropriate for your frame and height. if you do not want augmentation, then you could have fat transfer to the breast area or do lipsuction in the mid section or other areas until you gained weight in the breast area.
I would be very comfortable with that PTT value. Perhaps there are other factors that your surgeon is considering? Good luck and be safe.John T. Nguyen, MD, FACS, FICSDouble Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
