Is Dark Redness from Pixel, or Allergic Response to Aquaphor?

I had Harmony 360 last week on neck/chest. First 2 days of recovery went as expected, & I used Aquaphor (I have a history of contact dermatitis w/some oily products) as instructed. Day 3 I began having pain and horrible itching. Took benedryl repeatedly & gritted my teeth for another day & a half. Unbearable itch like prickly heat. When I stopped Aquaphor the pain resolved but my skin is a dark, purple/red color now. When I get warm the itch returns. Will I scar? Why did this occur? Help!
