Dark Eye Circles-There is a Cure

Thank you for your question. Millions of people are troubled by dark circles under hteir eyes so you are not alone.

The most effective cure for dark circles is a Plastic Eyelid Surgery technique called the Transconjunctival Arcus Marginalis Release and Fat Grafting. You can read more in the link below.

Many people use injection fillers but they are temporary and often make dark circles worse if not injected properly. Fat injection is done but often fat dissolves after injection

Treatment options for dark circles

+2

Dark circles around the eyes can be caused by deeply set eyes that tend to be cast in shadows, and therefore it is not due to the skin itself.

Another cause could be skin pigmentation which could cause a brown appearance to the area. This could be treated with skin bleachers, chemical peels, microdermabrasion (sometimes alone, and sometimes in combination with other treatments), and laser skin resurfacing.

The other thing that sometimes causes dark circles is the blue color from veins under the thin skin. This is harder to treat, but sometimes can respond to certain laser treatments.

Hope this helps.

There are things you can do for dark circles

The dark circles under your eyes can be due to the thin nature of your skin. This allows the muscle that is dark colored to shine through the skin and look dark when you look at your lower eyelid. The key in this situation is to add a layer between your skin and the muscle below. Laser resurfacing can add a layer to camouflage the muscle better. Also adding a filler in this area can help as well.

Fillers such as restylane, Juvederm, or fat injections are possibilities. The other reason for dark circles can be due to the volume loss under the eyes which allows the fat within your eye orbit region to relatively protrude more to cast a shadow underneath the eye. Filling in this volume with fat can help that as well. Sometimes, taking out fat in the eye orbit can help this condition too. Things can be done to help this though.
