I'm also considering a LSL in the Dallas office. Actually have the procedure tentatively scheduled for May with Dr. Orten, rather than Standifer. Any comments from actual patients?

Will someone who has had the LL done in Dallas please post? I am considering doing this, have an appt for an evaluation on Saturday, am getting married in April. This will take 3/4 of my savings, and I don't want to do it if the effects are as temporary as some say, or if there is danger of disfigurement or severe pain afterwards. Someone please advise ASAP.

I had this done at Dallas office. I still have pain with sleeping, turning my neck, and general sharp pains in my neck all the time. I have rope feeling areas more on my left side of neck and bumps around and behind the ears. I am very unhappy with the results and feel like LSL is very deceiving on how the procedure is done and what kind of results you get. I am scheduled for another procedure in Feb. I plan to cancel this appt. I plan to seek another opinion on what they did to me. I can't even wear my hair up at all and my ears are sore and disfigured.. I still have numbness to my face and all the areas pulled up have fallen. This is not a good procedure and I think it would be better to seek a true plastic surgeon. If anyone can help me find a good lawyer please reply.

I had the lift done in Dallas office. I am very displeased and have constant pain in my neck both sides if I cough at all I get sharp pains and migraine headaches, my ears are disfiguired, I have numbness to both sides of my face, incision sites are still tender, I fell fluid in my ears when I touch my face near ear, I can't turn my neck right or left without pain, I can't wear my hair up because my jugular vein areas are enlarged and have rope thready areas that are to noticeable, My friends said after the surgery that it looke jagged at the incisions near my hairline in front of my ears, and said they could have made a better cut. All the areas again are sagging and it started right away as soon as the swelling went down, until then I thought it was ok, now no one comments other than to say what are you going to do.

I am very upset, depressed about it and don't know what to do. I was told when I went to get the sutures out I could speak with the doctor, and when I got there I was told no, and that it all looked fine, at that time it was just noticeable that it was falling. I told the office tech I was displeased and she said give it more time, I also told her I felt ripping on both sides and that I was afraid it was tearing, she said no, that was not happening, she asked me if I smoked, I said yes once in awhile and blamed this to be the cause.

Before I left I asked again to speak with someone who knew more and was taken in a office with door closed behind me and told again I was at fault because I smoked some. I felt like I was treated unfairly and my personality torn into. I am a nurse and I am not stupid. I feel these people are deceiving and no one in that office at the time of the surgery nor after have been truthful. After my surgery, that was delayed until late that day, I heard the tech assisting, tell another tech when asked, are you upset she replyed oh yea big time. That made me feel real bad at that time. I know the Dr. probably was tired and the tech upset and now I have been left with these problems. I am very embarressed of the way I look now and ashamed to admit I'm afraid to go back and complain because there staff make you feel intimidated, and add to my low self esteem. I want to get this fixed but don't know what to do. I will be seeking opinons on what to do when I feel better, but have been feeling poorly since I had this surgery. I don't know if I should seek legal action or ask for another surgery, I hurt so bad all the time, I'm scared.

I am very disatisfied with my experience at LIfeStyle Lifts. I scheduled an appointment based on a television advertisement that promised no swelling, rapid recovery, and no scars. No sooner had I sat down in the private sales office than the saleswoman admitted to me that the video overstates the case. She admitted that you will have scarring around the ears, swelling, and bruising . I wish I had never left myself get talked into this. I committed the $400 on the GE credit option. Then I left and went about the business of researching this approach. I learned that the LIfestyle Lift is It is just a regular facelift. The only difference is that this one is done without anesthetic so you don't have that part of the recovery. I called the office and tried to cancel and get a refund but they would not let me do it. The contract states that you have a limited number of days to cancel, and I was past that deadline. So, I have lost my $400 deposit.. But in the meanwhile, I have seen how they operate, and I want no part of them at all. In the end, I am glad that I learned what I know about them. They are running women through that clinic so fast and are booked up for months in advance, so they couldn't care less about you. If you go forward with this, be aware that you will be signing away any right to complain about the condition of your face and they take that release very seriously! You will have no recourse. You will also have no relationship wtih the doctor who cuts on your face. Knowing what I now know, the $400 was a fair price to pay for this education. I wouldn't consider doing it now. There are non- surgical alternatives available, and I will take one of them.

I had the Lift done in the Dallas office almost two years ago. I was very pleased with the results. I looked at least 10-15 years younger. However, it is falling now. My Dermatologist told me that it is known not to last more than a year or so. That's ok, it was worth it. I do want to point out a couple of things. This is true what one person posted: I can't wear my hair up because my jugular vein areas are enlarged and have rope thready areas that are too noticeable behind the ears. You will not do this procedure on your lunch hour. You may even be off of work for a few days. The bruising is going to be there. I personally wouldn't do this procedure again, but I'll go for a full face lift next time that would last longer.

Thanks for your response. I guess everyone that is on these forums is wondering if the people that write in that they are loving their Lifestyle Lift are for real or if maybe they actually work for Lifestyle lift. You just never know. My appointment is not till June and I'm still doing research on it and debating. I would love to have good results but don't want to have something done that perhaps has a big chance of being screwed up. I know there are differences with everyone in medical procedures but I don't want to have it done if there is a high percentage of mess ups. I'm not worried about the pain or swelling, as long as it goes away within a reasonable, expected amount of time. Thanks again for your response.

I had my lifestyle lift on January 17, 2008. I am happy so far with the results. There is some swelling still and bruising on my neck. The procedure itself wasnt bad at all. The worst part probably was some of the numbing shots, but not too bad. I had some pain the first night, but if I had taken the pain meds right away I probably would not have had any problems. I get my stitches out on the 28th. I will let you know my thoughts then.

This forum is so helpful! I had the consultation last week in Dallas and am scheduled for a lipo and lift in April. The promo videos are so convincing but I do not know anyone personally who has had this done (or who admits to having had it done!) The more I read, however, the more I am wondering if I might just want to get my deposit refunded and leave well-enough alone. I wear my hair up and during the consultation, I was told that the scarring behind the ear would not be "that noticeable unless someone is looking for it". Well, just that makes me nervous. Until reading the posts here, I just assumed the results would last quite awhile; this is too much effort and expense to undertake for short-term benefits! Thanks to each of you who have written and I would welcome any further advice/experience.
