I just did arm lipo yesterday. during the procedure i felt a pain that shoot up my arm, immediately after i cound not move my pinky. i informed the doctor and he seem to think it is from the meds and the fluid compression. problem is i stopped draining, the numbness for anesthesia i think wore off, yet i am left with a tingling sensation and numbness of my pinky and the side of my pinky and the back of my hand on the same side. is this normal? what should i do? are there any treatments?

You have bruised nerve and it will get better. If the symptoms get worse ,you need to have more evaluation.

Numbness after liposuction

Neuroprxia is a condition where nerves can go to sleep after they're perturbed without being cut. It take months to a year or more to have the feeling of what may be your ulnar nerve return to normal and most of the time it does. You may want to get reassurance and you can ask your surgeon to refer you to a neurologist.

Ulnar nerve might be bruised after arm liposuction.

Hi. It sounds like your ulnar nerve was bruised during liposuction of the arms.  This will almost certainly get better on its own, but I would recommend seeing a hand surgeon to be sure.
