Can Crying a Few Hours After Rhinoplasty Affect, Change or Ruin the Results?

Although upsetting, crying post Rhinoplasty should not do much more than create a bit more post Rhinoplasty swelling IMHO.

Crying right after a rhinoplasty

It is very unlikely that crying soon after your rhinoplasty will afect your results though it can sometimes precipitate some bleeding and swelling in the area. Hopefully, the cause of your crying has been resolved and you will be ecstatic with your result.

Crying after rhinoplasty

No, crying after rhinoplasty should not injure your results. As long as you don't put a significant amount of pressure on your nose immediately after surgery, you should be fine. IT takes about 6 wk for the bones to completely heal. Sorry you cried, but hopefully you're feeling better now and enjoying your results! Dr. Cat Begovic M.D.
